 Estimating:

At the onset, the most import aspect of an integration company is the Estimating System. With our system, your estimating staff should be able to start estimating immediately after the system has been installed and configures. Clients have actually created real quotes in our system during the training session.

Additionally, we have talked with many contractors who have tried other competitor products and tell us “it takes months of setup before they can get the first quote out the door.” “Items take too long to add them to the system.” This is not the case with our estimating system. You can add items in minutes.

Another major problem is Price Lists. Dove Net Software provides monthly Price Lists Updates to 250+ Manufacturers. These price list updates includes Cost and various break levels as well as List Price. You also have the ability to apply your specific buying power against our price lists; Example: List Price minus 30%, Column x less 10%, End Column less 15%, etc.

In addition to our Price List service, you also have the ability to use our Equalizer tool to import your own / private price lists into the system.

Lastly, some clients just don’t have the time to manage price list so we provide a Price List Update Service where we get on your system and perform all the price list updates and charge you on a T&M basis.

Project Management and Job Cost:

More so with the AV Industry, our clients tend to be larger and have larger projects. 50 and 100 employees, and $100,000 to $1,000,000+ size projects verses 25 to 50 employee and $50,000 to $500,000 projects. When you have these size projects, the Project Management Capabilities, really comes into play. Everyone in the company needs to know exactly want the costs are on a project. This includes Senior Management, Project Managers, and Sales Staff. We have many versions of WIP (Work in Project) reports, with more or less detail. You can all create your own WIP report.

Even as I type these words, I am reminded of one of our security clients who just completed a $6M Project. The Client told me he could not have been able to estimate or complete this project without our Estimating and Business Software.

The other aspect of WIP reports is the speed with which you can run them. We have talked to many contractors who have “very powerful SQL” systems but for some reason when it comes to producing their WIP Report, the system is slow or even worse, you have to make all kinds of adjustments, to the data, taking weeks or more, before you can trust the results.

This not the case with Dove Net’s WIP Reports. You can run them any time you want and you can have a myriad of selection options. You can even set cut off dates to look back in time for Cost Cut Off and Billing Cut Off. These are capabilities we have had for years.

For 2017 we upgrade our application to the latest version of Embarcadero Xe10, specifically written for the Windows 10® Operation System (Microsoft). Our WIP report runs 66% faster on Windows 10 than on Windows 7®

Inventory and Purchasing:

For Dove Net Software, Inventory is almost a back-ground thought. Not really, we do have a very good inventory system including UPC Barcode Capabilities. What’s more important is our Purchase Order System. We have a fantastic P.O. System. Clients tell us they have cut their purchasing staff down by half. Now if you are a small company, maybe that is not practical but for large companies, and you have two, three or more purchasing agents, this is very real, i.e. cutting your staff down.

Related to the Inventory and Purchase Order system is the Notification System. When items are received into the system on Purchase Orders, notifications are sent to either the project Sales Person or Project Manager. The notification messages include Project Allocations, Back Orders and Delayed Shipments. The notification messages are designed to help you staff be more productive.
